Third hiking in the Czech Republic – Lysá hora

Third hiking in the Czech Republic – Lysá hora

Our third hiking trip was the longest and most difficult. We chose the highest mountain of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy mountains, Lysá hora, which is 1323m high. Our trip was 16 km long, we started in Ostravice and went to Malenovice. We were really lucky, the weather was excellent. Even if it was a bit cold and down in the towns foggy, up the hill we were above the clouds and in the sun. The views were spectacular. Mountains in the clouds looked like small islands in the sea. Children were shooting the videoreport, taking a lot of pictures and learning about all things connected with this place. They already know about a writer and poet Petr Bezruč, after whom a cottage on the top and a hotel down the hill are named, they also learned about a scout memorial Ivančena and they know where to find the view of Slovak Tatra and Fatra mountains. The trip was a great success and we are all full of nice memories.
